Geography

Geography is the scientific study of the Earth’s landscapes, environments, and the relationships between people and their environments. It encompasses a wide range of topics, including the physical features of the Earth, such as landforms, climates, and ecosystems, as well as human aspects, such as cultures, economies, and urban development. Geography seeks to understand how these physical and human elements interact and influence one another over space and time. It often divides into two main branches: physical geography, which focuses on natural phenomena and processes, and human geography, which examines the social, economic, and political aspects of human activity as they relate to space. Through various methods, including maps, spatial analysis, and field studies, geography helps to provide insights into global issues, environmental challenges, and the spatial organization of societies.
